The General Fund
The General Fund is the main operating fund for the Wakefield UMC. Michigan Conference Apportionments, Insurances, Utilities, and salaries, fellowship, community needs both local, national and international, and miscellaneous costs are all paid out of this budget.
The Building Fund
The building Fund is dedicated to the maintenance and repairs needed for the church and outside property. Funds have been used for an addition and new entrance into the building which also included a bathroom handicap accessible, new carpeting, and a new entry door.
The Memorial Fund
The Memorial Fund is used by parishioners or friends of the church as a way to honor loved ones who are either deceased or who want to bestow a gift in their behalf as a way to recognize them. They may be anonymous or attached to a name, either the donor or the person being recognized or both. The use of donations may be specified or left up to the church’s discretion as to need of donation.
The Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund receives generous donations from church members, friends of the church and community. Money is used for local missions or in the manner specified in the donation.
